Gravity die casting involves pouring the molten metal into the casting mould. Usually, the metal is poured manually with a ladle. At KTPL, we have special tilting machines to ensure precise speed and direction while pouring metal into the mould. The molten mould fills the mould with the help of gravity and is left to solidify. After the casting is set, it is removed from the mould and sent for removing shard edges and other treatment.
High pressure die casting is more complex process that is performed using a securely locked die cavity. Molten metal is injected into the cavity with high speed and pressure. The high pressure injection ensures that any gas present in the mould is released, and it also feeds additional metal as the metal shrinks when solidifying.
